User Agreement of the Earthlings People

Effective from the date of publication

Agreement Summary

SECTION 01

About the Nature of This Agreement

Most user agreements are written by corporations to protect corporations. They are full of legal jargon designed to intimidate and confuse. This is not that kind of document.

This agreement is a social contract between members of the transnational Earthlings people. It describes how we interact with each other, what values we share, what rights we have, and what obligations we voluntarily accept.

Three Principles of This Document

1. Plain language: We avoid legal jargon wherever possible. The agreement should be understandable to every participant.

2. Reciprocity: This is not a list of restrictions for you and privileges for us. It is a balance of rights and obligations on both sides.

3. Transparency: We explain every rule and its purpose. There are no hidden clauses in fine print.

By using the Earthlings platform and infrastructure, you agree to the terms of this document. If anything is unclear or unacceptable - write to us. Serious proposals for changes to the agreement may be put to a DAO vote.

SECTION 02

About the Earthlings People

Who We Are

Earthlings is a self-determined transnational people existing de facto on the basis of the Earthlings Declaration of Self-Determination. We are united by shared values, not territory or ethnicity.

We strive for recognition of our status by international organizations and states (de jure recognition). Until such recognition is obtained, we continue to exist and develop as a real people with our own infrastructure, governance, and identity.

Important to understand: Membership in the Earthlings people is an additional transnational identity. It does not replace your national citizenship and does not require renunciation of it. It is an expansion of your identity in a global world, not its replacement.

Our Values

  • Life as the highest value - we advocate for the protection and development of life in all its manifestations
  • Freedom and self-determination - every person has the right to define their identity and belonging
  • Solidarity without borders - we are building a people where borders unite rather than divide
  • Transparency and trust - our infrastructure is open for verification, our decisions are made collectively
  • Decentralization of power - we reject concentration of power and build horizontal governance structures

These values are not declarative - they are embodied in the platform architecture, governance mechanisms, and daily practice of the Earthlings people.

SECTION 03

Membership and Registration

Requirements for Earthling Status

Membership in the Earthlings people provides a unified Earthling status with full participant rights.

Earthling Status

Requirements: Participant must be over 18 years old.

What is needed: Signing the Earthlings Declaration of Self-Determination, biometric verification through the Earthlings proprietary system, membership fee (equivalent to $79).

What it provides: SBT passport, voting rights in DAO, participation in coordination systems ("cells"), full access to the Earthlings people's infrastructure.

Obligations: Adherence to the Declaration's values, active participation in the Earthlings people's life.

Registration Process

Registration takes place in several stages:

  • Creating an account with basic data (first and last name, nickname of your choice, email, country, year of birth with age 18+ confirmation)
  • Email address confirmation
  • Review of the Earthlings Declaration of Self-Determination
  • Signing the Declaration
  • Biometric verification through the Earthlings proprietary verification system
  • Payment of membership fee
  • Receiving the SBT passport
About data accuracy: When registering, you must provide your real first and last name as they appear in your passport, and choose a nickname (pseudonym). The nickname is what is shown in your SBT passport and on the digital platform. Basic data (country, age of majority) must be accurate.

Your Account Responsibility

You bear full responsibility for:

  • Safeguarding your login, password, and cryptographic keys
  • All actions performed from your account
  • Notifying support if you suspect a breach or unauthorized access

We cannot recover lost cryptographic keys - they are encrypted so that even we do not have access to them. This is the other side of decentralization: maximum security requires maximum responsibility.

Account Suspension or Restriction

Your account may be suspended or restricted in the following cases:

  • Providing knowingly false data during verification
  • Systematic violation of Declaration values
  • Attempts to create multiple accounts
  • Using the platform for illegal activities in your jurisdiction

Suspension decisions can be appealed through DAO mechanisms.

SECTION 04

Interaction Rules Within the Earthlings People

Earthlings are building a space where differences enrich rather than divide. Interaction rules are based on mutual respect:

What Is Encouraged

  • Respectful treatment of other participants regardless of their origin, views, or identity
  • Constructive criticism and exchange of ideas
  • Contributing to the development of the Earthlings people - projects, initiatives, helping others
  • Openness to dialogue and willingness to learn
  • Protection of vulnerable members of the Earthlings people

What Is Unacceptable

  • Discrimination on any grounds - race, gender, nationality, religion, sexual orientation
  • Threats, harassment, bullying (including covert forms)
  • Spreading disinformation, manipulation of facts
  • Spam, intrusive advertising, fraudulent schemes
  • Attempts to manipulate voting or DAO decisions
  • Actions contradicting the fundamental values of the Declaration
About freedom of speech: We protect the right to express opinions, even unpopular ones. But freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences. Statements aimed at causing harm to other participants are not protected by the principles of free speech.

Conflict Resolution

When conflicts arise:

  • First, try to resolve the issue directly with the other participant
  • If that doesn't help - contact the Earthlings people's moderators
  • Serious disputes may be referred to the Independent Council
  • In extreme cases, the issue is put to a vote of the Earthlings people
SECTION 05

Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content

Everything you create and publish on the platform (posts, comments, projects, materials) remains your intellectual property. You retain all rights to your work.

By publishing content, you grant the Earthlings people a non-exclusive license to use this content within the platform - for display, distribution among participants, creation of derivative works (e.g., translations) with attribution.

Open license by default: We recommend publishing materials under open licenses (Creative Commons and similar) so that your ideas can spread freely. But the choice is always yours.

Platform Content

Materials created by the Earthlings infrastructure itself (documents, tools, design) are published under open licenses by default. We believe in transparency not only of processes but also of tools.

Respecting Others' Rights

You commit to:

  • Not publishing content that infringes third-party copyrights
  • Citing sources when quoting or using others' work
  • Complying with license terms when using open materials
  • Respecting personal data of other people

Upon receiving substantiated copyright infringement complaints, we remove the disputed content and notify the author. Repeated violations may lead to account suspension.

SECTION 06

Earthling SBT Passport

What Is an SBT Passport

The SBT passport (Soul-Bound Token Passport) is a non-transferable digital identifier of your membership in the Earthlings people. It exists on the blockchain and is bound to your identity permanently.

What It Provides

  • Confirmation of Earthling status
  • Voting rights in DAO
  • Access to Earthlings people's infrastructure
  • Participation in projects (cells)
  • Digital reputation

What It Does Not Provide

  • Legal citizenship
  • Right of entry into countries
  • Replacement of national passport
  • Official status in states

Obtaining the Passport

The SBT passport is issued after:

  • Signing the Earthlings Declaration of Self-Determination
  • Completing biometric verification
  • Payment of membership fee equivalent to $79
About the membership fee: The membership fee covers administrative costs, infrastructure development, and supports ecosystem sustainability. This is not a commercial sale - it is a contribution to a common cause.

SBT Passport Properties

Non-transferability: The SBT passport is tied to your biometric signature and cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged. It is not a commodity - it is part of your digital identity.

Immutability: The blockchain record cannot be altered or forged. Your Earthling status is cryptographically confirmed.

Visibility: The fact of having an SBT passport is visible on the blockchain, but your personal data remains confidential.

Passport Deactivation

If you decide to leave the Earthlings people, the SBT passport can be deactivated. The blockchain record will remain (this is the nature of the technology), but the passport will no longer provide access to Earthlings people's functions. The connection to your identity will be severed.

SECTION 07

Earthlings Coin and the Earthlings Economy

Token Nature

Earthlings Coin is a utility token designed for the functioning of the Earthlings ecosystem. It is not a stock, not an investment instrument, and not a promise of profit.

Token Uses

  • Payment for services and goods within the ecosystem
  • Supporting projects and initiatives of the Earthlings people
  • Rewards for contributing to infrastructure development

Progressive Decentralization

Earthlings follow a strategy of progressive decentralization:

Current stage: The token operates within the ecosystem. Primary purpose - membership and governance. The token is not traded on public exchanges.

Next stage: As the Earthlings people grow and sufficient decentralization is achieved, listing on exchanges is planned. This will allow the token to gain market liquidity.

Long-term perspective: Fully decentralized token governance through DAO, without centralized control.

Your Responsibility

By participating in the Earthlings economy, you are responsible for:

  • Complying with your country's legislation regarding crypto assets
  • Tax obligations on token transactions (if applicable)
  • Secure storage of cryptographic keys
  • Understanding the risks associated with cryptocurrencies
SECTION 08

Decentralized Governance (DAO)

Governance Philosophy

Earthlings reject centralized authority. Governance is carried out in a decentralized manner through a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) - a digital structure where decisions are made by participant vote.

This is not symbolic democracy where you are occasionally asked to vote on already-made decisions. This is real governance where every participant can influence the development of the Earthlings people.

How DAO Works

  • Proposals: Any participant with an SBT passport can submit a proposal for changes
  • Discussion: The proposal is discussed by the Earthlings people, refined, improved
  • Voting: After discussion, voting is conducted with an established quorum
  • Execution: Adopted decisions are automatically executed through smart contracts or manually implemented by the team
  • Transparency: The entire history of proposals, discussions, and votes is public

What Is Decided Through DAO

  • Strategic development directions
  • New initiatives and projects
  • Partnerships and collaborations
  • Interface changes

Your Rights in DAO

  • Vote on all proposals
  • Submit your own proposals
  • Delegate your vote to other participants on specialized matters
  • Revoke delegation at any time
  • View the complete history of decisions and their results
  • Challenge decisions that violate fundamental principles

Special Situations

In exceptional cases (critical security vulnerabilities, infrastructure attacks, regulatory requirements), technical parameters may be adjusted promptly by the team with subsequent ratification through DAO.

Such actions are always documented and explained to the Earthlings people. Abuse of this right may lead to a vote of no confidence in the team.

SECTION 09

Project Groups (Cells)

Cells are decentralized professional and project groups of Earthlings participants working on specific initiatives. These can be technical projects, educational programs, research, cultural events, or social initiatives.

How Cells Work

  • Any participant can create a Cell by describing its goal and inviting others
  • Cells are self-organizing - no one appoints leaders from above
  • For funding, a Cell can request resources from the Earthlings Fund through a DAO vote
SECTION 10

Liability and Limitations

We strive to create reliable infrastructure, but technology is not perfect. It is important to understand the limitations:

Our Liability

We commit to:

  • Maintaining infrastructure operability
  • Protecting your data in accordance with the Privacy Policy
  • Transparently communicating about problems and changes
  • Reviewing participant inquiries within reasonable timeframes
  • Compensating documented damage from our technical errors

Your Liability

You are responsible for:

  • Complying with your country's legislation
  • Security of your own credentials and keys
  • Consequences of your actions within the Earthlings people
  • Verifying information before sharing
  • Understanding risks associated with crypto assets

Limitations of Liability

We are not responsible for:

  • Actions of Earthlings people members toward each other
  • Loss of cryptographic keys (they are not recoverable)
  • Technical failures of blockchain networks beyond our control
  • Content and actions on external platforms and websites
Force majeure: In force majeure circumstances (natural disasters, military actions, critical legislation changes, large-scale technical failures), we may temporarily suspend services or change their operating rules with notification to the Earthlings people.
SECTION 11

Refund Policy and Technical Failures

General Principles

The membership fee is a voluntary contribution and these funds are non-refundable.

Technical Failures

If you encounter technical problems:

  • Contact support: privacy@earth-lings.org
  • Provide problem details (screenshots, transaction IDs)
  • Each situation is reviewed individually
  • We strive to find a fair solution within technical capabilities
Important: We are not responsible for your lost cryptographic keys, hacks of your external wallets, or errors in sending transactions. Decentralization means you have full control over your assets - but also bear full responsibility for them.
SECTION 12

Agreement Changes

This agreement may be updated as the Earthlings people, technology, and legislation evolve.

Change Process

  • Minor edits (typos, wording clarifications) are made by the team with changelog publication
  • Substantial changes are put to discussion and vote in the DAO
  • You are notified of any changes at least 30 days before they take effect
  • You may object if changes are unacceptable
SECTION 13

Agreement Acceptance

By using the Earthlings platform, signing the Declaration, or activating the SBT passport, you confirm that:

  • You have read this agreement in full
  • You understand its content and consequences
  • You agree to the terms voluntarily, without coercion
  • You have reached the age of 18
  • You have the right to accept such obligations in your jurisdiction
Document availability: The current version of this agreement, the Earthlings Declaration, Privacy Policy, and all related documents are always available on the official website earth-lings.org.
