Founder, governance, funding, and public verification
Earthlings is the first operational implementation of a voluntarily self-organised non-territorial people in the international legal space.
The foundational instruments of the project describe this model as an architecture of a society without power. Earthlings is a voluntary association of individuals from many countries, formed around a Declaration of Self-Determination - an immutable founding core that no majority can rewrite - and a digital infrastructure that enables verified "one person - one vote" participation at planetary scale.
The architecture of Earthlings is designed as a single institutional system, not assembled from off-the-shelf components. For interaction with the existing legal system, the people, through authorised representatives, uses registered legal structures and other legal instruments - replaceable external interfaces for interaction. The polity itself governs through its own DAO infrastructure, with power not balanced but structurally absent as a property of the design itself.
Twenty-two foundational documents in nine languages, four production sites covering the full operational cycle, and on-chain identity and a publicly verifiable treasury constitute Earthlings in its current institutional state.
The economic layer is intentionally separated from governance and identity. Each Earthling holds three architecturally distinct attributes:
EC is the utility token of the ecosystem. It provides access to platform services, rewards contribution in cells, and is used to fund collective initiatives.
EC quantity does not, in principle, convert into governance influence. Wealth and voice exist as separate architectural axes, not collapsed into a single token-weighted variable as in most DAO architectures.
EC is not a security, an investment instrument, or a means of payment.
What Earthlings offers is not a manifesto with technology attached, but a working institution that can be examined, tested, and joined.
The founding corpus of Earthlings was created by Artur Arakelian. The authorship and provenance of the corpus are cryptographically verifiable (see the cryptographic verification).

The institutional architecture of Earthlings comprises three distinct structural elements, designed to operate in parallel rather than in hierarchy.
This principle is fundamental: each element handles tasks that are structurally inaccessible to the others, while no element holds decision authority over another.
The result is an architecture in which power is neither distributed nor balanced, but structurally absent as an independent category.
Within the polity itself, the "Earthlings Ethics" document distinguishes four functional roles:
The DAO Assembly, comprising all Earthlings, makes binding decisions.
Core Nodes carry technical coordination on a rotating basis.
The Emergency Multisig protects the infrastructure against exploits and critical threats - also on a rotating basis.
The Independent Council formulates expert recommendations and advisory opinions.
The three key structural elements of Earthlings - the DAO, the legal instruments, and the Independent Council - provide the architecture of collective self-governance, external legal interaction, and expert consultation.

The Council has no veto power over DAO decisions.
Its authority is reputational rather than formal.
The constitution of the Council is treated as the next institutional stage in the development of Earthlings.
The guiding principle of the Council's formation is that its members must be individuals who have deeply studied the Earthlings model, not public figures invited solely for status or prestige.
The project to date has been funded entirely from the founder's personal resources.
External funding has not been accepted to date.
